Get ready, book lovers—one of our most anticipated events of the year is officially back! This year’s sale is better than ever, featuring a hand-picked selection of only the best books.
From newly published titles hot off the press to beautiful, high-quality reads perfect for gifting (or re-gifting!), you’ll find something special on every table.
Book Donations
The Friends of the Newton Free Library accept book donations during select hours in the Library Community Room. Your generous donations help us maintain a vibrant on-going book sale, and periodic special sales, which allows continued support of the Library.
Due to our limited space, please limit donations to no more than 3 shopping bags (or the equivalent) of books. If you wish to make a larger donation, or have questions about donating items, please contact the Friends by email at: friendsnewtonfreelibrary@gmail.com.
Books must be in good condition:
Clean: No water damage, mildew, odor, or marking
Intact: No missing or torn pages; no broken spines
Donations can be dropped off at the Library on:
Tuesdays, 1pm-3pm
Thursdays, 1pm-3pm
Saturdays, 10am-12pm
Please bring donations to the Friends in the Library Community Room, and come see the newly installed book shelves - we have more room for MORE BOOKS!
We Accept
Non-fiction and Fiction, hardback or paperback
Classics
Children’s books
CDs and DVDs in their original cases, and must contain all of the disks
Jigsaw Puzzles & Board Games
We CANNOT Accept
Magazines or Journals
Spiral bound books or Pamphlets
Encyclopedias
Textbooks or Computer Manuals
VHS or Cassette Tapes
Foreign Language books (due to space limits)
